Sir Paul McCartney, 79, encourages others to get the vaccine as he receives his jab

Sir Paul McCartney inspired others to get vaccinated as he shared a throwback picture getting his personal dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. 

The Beatles’ star, 79, wore a face masks and beanie hat within the shot as he rolled up his sleeve for the jab.

Sir Paul took to Twitter on Monday to share the throwback snap as he tweeted: ‘BE COOL. GET VAX’D – Paul.’

Though Sir Paul didn’t state when or the place he obtained the vaccine,  these aged 70 and over and the clinically extraordinarily susceptible started receiving invites for vaccinations within the UK on January 18. 

Again in December, the Liverpudlian rock star insisted that he would get vaccinated ‘as quickly as I am allowed.’
