“Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight simply introduced that Democrats are poised to win SIX Senate seats this November,” Pelosi wrote within the electronic mail, incorrectly saying the location predicts Democratic victories in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Ohio.
“That is straight-up misinformation,” Silver tweeted in response. “We’ve Democrats as heavy underdogs in Florida and Ohio.”
Pelosi, who routinely sends out emotionally charged marketing campaign emails, has an extended historical past of constructing false or deceptive statements.
