The Canadian Press (Jacob Serebrin) reported June 30; Université Laval is a distinguished Canadian public analysis college, and apparently “the oldest centre of upper schooling in Canada”:
Patrick Provost, a professor at Université Laval who research micro RNA — small molecules that assist regulate genes — was suspended for eight weeks with out pay on June 14 for feedback he made final December at a convention.
Provost stated he believes the dangers of COVID-19 vaccination in kids outweigh the advantages due to the potential side-effects from mRNA vaccines, which use messenger RNA created in a lab to show cells the way to make a protein.
“I used to be simply doing what I used to be employed to do,” he stated in an interview Wednesday. “I had some considerations about one thing, I searched the literature and I ready a speech, delivered it to the general public. Being censored for doing what I have been skilled to do — and employed to do — effectively, it is laborious to imagine.” …
A college committee consisting of a lawyer and two specialists concluded that his feedback had been biased and that he did not analyze his information rigorously or current his info objectively, Provost stated….
Based on native information reviews, Provost is certainly one of two professors suspended by Université Laval for anti-vaccine feedback. The college declined to touch upon both suspension, whereas the union stated it’s not conscious of the second case.
