Throughout two days of conferences in Could 2022, members of the Center East Dialogue, convened by the Center East Institute (MEI), met in Istanbul, Turkey to debate urgent points referring to: i) the results of the conflict in Ukraine on the MENA area; ii) present and future projections concerning Gulf relations with Iran, amid the stalemate over a revival of the 2015 Joint Complete Plan of Motion (JCPOA) signed between Iran and the P5+1; iii) the long run pathways and safety framework for the MENA area; and iv) the Baghdad Declaration of Good Neighborhood Rules for the Center East, first printed in December 2017 as one consequence of this sequence of MEI-convened conferences. This assembly introduced collectively policymakers, teachers, and specialists from throughout the MENA area, together with the Gulf states, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. This report supplies an analytical understanding of the problems mentioned and proposals shared through the assembly.
